On June 25–27, 2025, the 33rd Annual International Scientific Conference PRO-TECH-MA 2025: Progressive Technologies and Materials in Mechanical Engineering was held in Sandomierz, Poland. The event brought together researchers, engineers, and industry professionals to exchange knowledge on cutting-edge developments in mechanical engineering and materials science.
The PROMATAI project was represented through a contribution titled “Performance Evaluation of Feed Opening Section Based on Throughput Metrics”,
prepared by Viliam Kapraľ, Ivan Gajdoš, Dušan Manduľák, and Volodymyr Krasinskyi as part of Work Package 1 (WP1). Ing. Viliam Kapraľ, a researcher from the Technical University of Košice and member of the PROMATAI team, delivered a presentation focusing on the development, production, and experimental testing of four 3D-printed Feed Opening Section (FOS) prototypes for polymer extrusion systems. The presented results support the optimization of material feeding systems and provide insight into the performance of various feed opening geometries under test conditions.
More information about the conference is available on the official website: https://protechma2025.pollub.pl/.
Participation in PRO-TECH-MA 2025 offered an excellent opportunity to share PROMATAI research progress and connect with the wider scientific community.
