PROMATAI Project Presented at K 2025 – The World’s Leading Trade Fair for Plastics and Rubber

Breadcrumbs

On 8–11 October 2025, researchers from the Technical University of Košice (TUK) involved in the PROMATAI project travelled to Düsseldorf (Germany) to attend the global trade fair K 2025 – recognised as the world’s No. 1 event for the plastics and rubber industry.

During the fair, the team explored a wide range of polymer materials and processing technologies – from micro-injection moulding and profile extrusion to packaging materials production and additive manufacturing. Industry leaders such as BOY Machines, FANUC, BABYPLAST, Xplore, Tetro, and Wittmann showcased innovations in machinery, materials, and process technologies.

As part of Task 6.4 of the PROMATAI project, the TUK team presented the main objectives of the PROMATAI project and the results achieved so far, conducted a survey of current trends, engaged with manufacturers and suppliers of polymer composites, and broadened their professional network within the global plastics industry.

The event attracted more than 175 000 trade visitors from around 160 countries and featured 3 275 exhibitors from 66 nations.

The insights gathered at K 2025 will contribute to the further development and dissemination activities within the PROMATAI project.
