PROMATAI WP1 and WP2 Results Presented at the Pomerania-Plast 2026 Conference

Breadcrumbs

From 27 to 29 May 2026, the 9th Scientific Conference “Polymeric Materials Pomerania-Plast 2026” was held in Międzyzdroje, Poland. The conference covered a wide spectrum of topics related to polymer materials, including novel polymers, composites, biomaterials, recycling technologies, advanced processing methods, and industrial and environmental applications.

This year’s event brought together approximately 100 researchers and industry representatives and featured 45 oral presentations and 65 scientific posters.

The PROMATAI project was represented at the conference through a co-authored scientific poster entitled “Advanced Feed Section Solutions for Single-Screw Extrusion”, prepared by researchers from IEP, UWA, TUK, DIR, LPH and CET. The poster presented key results achieved within Work Packages 1 and 2 of the project. The presented work demonstrated an advanced feed section concept incorporating two innovative components: the Feed Opening Section (FOS) and the Grooved Feed Section (AGFS). The proposed design enables a wide range of throughput control depending on the processed material and granule size, offering enhanced flexibility and improved process performance in single-screw extrusion.

During the poster session and networking discussions, information about the PROMATAI project and MSCA activities was disseminated among conference participants. The event provided an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge with experts from academia and industry and to increase the visibility of the project within the polymer processing community.

Participation in Pomerania-Plast 2026 contributed to strengthening collaboration opportunities and promoting the scientific achievements of the PROMATAI consortium.
