From 13 to 18 May 2026, the E-NNOVATE 2026 International Invention and Innovation Summit was held in a hybrid format in Kraków, Poland. E-NNOVATE combines traditional exhibition activities with virtual participation, enabling innovators to present their solutions to a wider international audience in an effective and cost-efficient manner through both physical and virtual exhibition booths. The official E-NNOVATE 2026 programme featured 108 inventions and innovation projects representing 16 countries, including Poland, Malaysia, Thailand, Iran, Romania, Qatar, Indonesia, China, India, Portugal, Moldova, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Macau, and the United Arab Emirates
Among the innovations presented and evaluated during the event was the “Adaptive Bulk Material Feeding System for Extrusion Processes”, a patent application developed by a team involved in the PROMATAI project: Marcin Buczaj, Karolina Głogowska, Janusz Sikora, Andrzej Sumorek, Rafał Stęgierski, Dusan Mandulak, and Povilas Padleckas. The invention was presented by Dr Eng. Karolina Głogowska and Dr Eng. Marcin Buczaj from the Lublin University of Technology. The presented system is an innovative bulk material feeding solution designed primarily for polymer granulates. It enables precise dosing of material from the hopper into the extruder feed section and allows the maintenance of a predefined material level above the screw channel. The solution supports improved process stability and is fully aligned with the objectives of the PROMATAI project, which focuses on the development and validation of innovative polymer-processing technologies supported by artificial intelligence algorithms.
The innovative feeding system was highly appreciated by the international jury and was awarded a Gold Medal at E-NNOVATE 2026. The award was accepted on behalf of the inventors by Marcin Buczaj during the official ceremony.
This achievement highlights the scientific excellence of the PROMATAI consortium and demonstrates the practical innovation potential of the project results developed within the framework of the programme.
