PROMATAI Results Presented During the “Science Closer to You” 2026 Workshop Series

Breadcrumbs

Between January and June 2026, the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Polymer Materials (IEP, Poland) organized a series of ten workshops as part of the “Science Closer to You” (Nauka Bliżej Ciebie) educational programme. More than 200 pupils and students from primary and secondary schools, as well as colleges across the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, participated in the workshop series.

The workshops provided an excellent opportunity to showcase the Institute’s research activities and promote selected scientific achievements developed within the PROMATAI project. Participants learned about modern polymer materials, advanced manufacturing technologies, and the role of artificial intelligence in materials engineering, gaining insight into how innovative research contributes to solving industrial and environmental challenges.

The events also promoted the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) programme, emphasizing the importance of international collaboration, researcher mobility, and excellence in scientific research for the development of future generations of scientists.

Through active engagement with young people, the PROMATAI project contributes not only to scientific and technological progress but also to raising awareness of European research initiatives and inspiring future careers in science and engineering.
