In June-July 2024, the third secondment of PROMATAI project participants took place. The host organization was the University of West Attica (UWA, Greece), which hosted representatives of four beneficiaries: the Lublin University of Technology (LUT, Poland – 4 people), LPH a.s. (LPH, Slovakia – 3 people), Dirmeta UAB (DIR, Lithuania – 3 people) and Cerca Trova LTD. (CET, Bulgaria – 3 people). The guests were given a tour of the University of West Attica laboratories. All secondees and UWA representatives worked on Task 1.3 “Virtual Models of Feed Opening Section (FOS)”.
The research activities were performed in UWA aimed at the knowledge and experience expanding of seconded representatives. CAD models (2D) were developed, boundary conditions and kinematic parameters were defined, and digitalization of the models and numerical analysis of the FOS with selected different geometric features (diameter, width, and shape of the feed opening) were done. Based on the developed models (2D and 3D), collision and kinematics analysis of the movements were performed, and an animation of the FOS changing was created. Executive and assembly documentation for three selected concepts of the new Feed Opening Section and one standard solution were produced. All studies planned in task 1.3 have been completed.
