Breadcrumbs

The 40th International Conference of the Polymer Processing Society (PPS-40) took place in Auckland, New Zealand, from April 21 to 25, 2025. This year’s edition featured 20 thematic symposia, including a special session on “Commercialization and Challenges in Shaping the Circular Economy for Plastics.”

The event hosted 325 presentations, including 6 plenary lectures, 42 keynote talks, 210 oral presentations, and 67 poster sessions — all delivered across 6 parallel tracks over four days. With representatives from 34 countries, PPS-40 was a truly global gathering of leading experts in polymer science and technology.

PROMATAI was proudly represented at the conference with a co-authored presentation titled "Designing Extrusion Screws Using Artificial Intelligence", developed by team members from LUT, UWA, and IEP. The work highlights one of the key research directions of the project (WP2), showcasing how AI technologies are being integrated into the design and optimization of polymer extrusion systems.
